The Mentee will also develop a growth mindset and become a strong team player. Mentee's will identify skills and competencies they wish to gain from the Mentor and take initiative to ask for help to attain their goals. They will not be a parent, superhero or solution to every problem but they will model positive behaviour, focus on the positives, enhance self-confidence and offer words of encouragement. The Mentor will not manage but they will be a friend, supporter, advisor, role model and listener. Mentee benefits include greater achievement, decreased behavioural problems, learning to accept feedback, improved listening skills and social interaction. Mentor benefits include a greater feeling of connection to the organization, increased self-esteem, increased empathy, improved conflict resolution skills and strong organizational skills. Mentorship allows for the use of learning opportunities that come up in sports to help develop better people. Our "Mentor's" will consist of (U18 Midget to U15 Bantam) aged girls and our "Mentee's" will be the younger IceCats.
